Matnsaz 1.8.2 released

Matnsaz 1.8.2 for iOS is now available for download on the App Store. This update includes the following:

• Suggestions are now shown when beginning to type new words, or when a word is selected and needs to be corrected.

• Fixed a bug where keys on the edges of the screen were not immediately responsive.

• Fixed a bug where contextual text labels on keys incorrectly displayed medial forms.

• Fixed a bug where typing a soft-space (zero-width non-joiner) would cause a crash.

• Performance improvements that should make the keyboard more responsive. For nerds, we did this by removing unnecessary thread locking, changing Array creations to Sets to avoid O(N) array reads, and avoided heap allocations during recommendation scoring.

• Fixed a bug where typing a soft-space (zero-width non-joiner) would cause a crash.

• Fixed a bug where typing would be disabled in test view after changing settings

• Fixed a bug where a keystroke may be missed

A few weeks ago, we also launched an improved iPad layout for the Matnsaz app (as part of version 1.7.2).
